Die Information, welche von Musikinstrumenten und Sprechstimmen den Schallsignalen aufgeprägt ist, wird vom Gehör unter den verschiedensten akustischen Bedingungen (unterschiedliche Amplituden, Laufzeiten und Frequenzgänge, nichtlineare Verzerrungen, multiple Schallquellen) korrekt aufgenommen. Es muß deshalb Schallsignalmerkmale geben, welche von vorn herein mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit den Signalquellen zugeordnet werden können --- im Gegensatz zu den Einflüssen der Übertragungsstrecke. Es wird diskutiert, welche Merkmale dies sind, wie sie extrahiert werden und nach welchen Prinzipien sie zur Informationsgewinnung herangezogen werden.
The information which by music instruments and by the human voice is imprinted on the sound signals ordinarily is by the human ear correctly received under quite different acoustic conditions (variability of amplitudes, travelling times, and frequency respones; nonlinear distortion; presence of multiple sound sources). Thus there must exist clues of the sound signals that a priori can with high probability be assigned to the sound sources -- as opposed to the contributions of the transmission path. It is discussed which these clues are, how they are extracted, and according to which principles they are employed for the acquisition of information.
